Introduction to the Friends Foundation

The Friends Foundation is an Annapolis based non-profit organization formed in December of 1998 by a group of young friends who lived, worked and played in the Annapolis, Maryland area. They formed the Friends Foundation as a way to come together as friends and raise money to help those in need. The premise was to continue to do activities they already enjoyed doing as a group but to do these activities while raising money that could be used to support local charities. Over the years the Friends Foundation has held golf tournaments, holiday parties, football game tailgates and many other activities that have raised tens of thousands of dollars that have been distributed to local charities.

With each passing year the Friends Foundation hopes to build on previous successes to grow and become a greater contributor to the community. Friends Foundation will be supporting a local Annapolis event, KidWALK, on May 2, 2009.  You are invited to participate with us on Team Friends Foundation Too.  KidWALK is a 5K walk through the city of Annapolis raising financial support for local charities who serve underprivileged children.  Shelter, food, education, and fun are elements of a true childhood that we often take for granted in our own families.  For hundreds of children living right here in Annapolis, this is not the case.  These local charities benefiting from KidWALK are providing those basic needs to these children every day.  They need our help to continue their heartfelt commitment.

Please consider your family’s participation, as part of our Friends Foundation family.  Set aside the morning of May 2 and come enjoy a great morning out with friends.
